Vogon Poetry Award Winner: Larry Wilson

Larry Wilson regales us with his wit (inflicts it on us) for today's column:

I think that I shall never see
A gingko unbroken by me
If against it I were to lean
Waiting in line for a movie screen
The old green ficus is dead and gone
Its shade ephemeral as the dawn
In its place will be a stick

Hey, Larry, how many trees are killed by the newspaper industry every day?

Can you spell hypocrite? Oh yeah, it's L-A-R-R-Y W-I-L-S-O-N.

Dozens of people turned out, says Larry in his column, but his paper didn't cover the event.

Oops. Guess nobody else at the S-Nooze cares.

I think that I shall never see
A columnist who can be
A functioning human
For us to pass
While all the while
His head be up his own ass

Vogons watch out!

Larry's rantin' 'bout the dead trees and stoopid art again.

D.

Possibly Larry could comment on the shooting in NW Pasadena - or are dead trees a safer topic.

Where is our political leadership in NW Pasadena? This shooting is in Dist #1 and where is JR? It seems like she's in hiding. Some reassuring words for our community might be a sign that you get it. Your presense on the street would be nice. Because your age is about the same as the bangers, we would like to see you getting a dialogue started with these gangs. You should be on Washington & Mentone working with the neighborhood. Do Something.
