It's Tyler's Last Day, Gimme a T for Tornek Sets His Butt in Tyler's Seat.

Tyler goes out after tonight's meeting. He was a decent guy who took all Proctor's silliness in stride and leaves with a pretty good image intact. If it wasn't for the tree crap over the past three months, he'd be almost spotless.

Maybe the new guy won't be so crazy over trees, but no way he's gonna give a shit 'bout any of us folks north o' the 210. I hear the biddies are having a dildo party to celebrate Tornek gettin' sworn in.

Jobs? Who gives a f+ck? Not my city council. We're all about trees and cell phone antenna. Tornek ain't gonna be no better. Probly worse.

Time will tell. I'n takin' bets about how many meetings it'll take before Tornek does a f+ck you Northwest Pasadena.

Do you think we'll ever elect a councilmember who actually gives a damn about Northwest Pasadena when Haderlein in 4 and Madison in 6 retire from their respective seats?
Eugene Masuda in 4 or one of those WPRA or LVAA stepford clones just waiting for Madison to ride out into the sunset? You really think they care about our people and our plights? Tornek? ya right. The sad thing about our future is that there are no candidates running in these districts that have a compassion for people, not just the rich, but all people, especially people of color. Name me one candidate that would actually give a damn about all people, young, old, Black, Brown and White? Name me one candidate that's not part of the good ol'boys club that can stand on his or her own two feet or has the financial means as not to be swayed by Garfield St. influence? I can't think of any for 2011 or beyond. There is no populist candidate out there that would appeal to all including the working class. They're all lawyers or developers. Whatever happened to the regular guy representing regular people? Where is our "White Barack Obama" that would appeal to everyone because we certainly don't have a "Black Barack Obama" type in Pasadena.

OK, I vented. It's sad that the people of Pasadena are just pawns for the lawyers and developers on the City Council. Most of these councilmembers have no clue about the NW but their individual vote could really help implement the change that is needed in the NW.

I really don't see any political hope on the horizon.

Frustrated,

I was born and raised in NW. Sad to say after 40 years not a whole lot has changed.

Talk about a forgotten part of the city - as well as it's people.

Why can't we elect a candidate that actually gives a damn about NW Pasadena. Even if they're from another district it doesn't matter. We need someone with a voice for us or at least someone who will listen. If you think it's bad now wait until Mayor Bogaard retires and we have to deal with the likes of Madison, Haderlein or Gordo. I don't care if he or she is Black, White or Purple, just listen to us.

Joe Hopkins killed off a decent candidate in the last election, don't make the same mistake twice.

Nothing but developers and lawyers trying to tell us how we should live. We need to do better.

The NW will always be neglected and ignored because we can't find anybody to run that actually has a plan for the NW and can communicate it to our residents. Holden been there too long and is tired, JR just doesn't have it and Gordo doesn't care because his eye is on a higher seat.
